嘉宾介绍:

Prof. Glenn Young workes in International Food Science Programs,University of California, Davis. Professor Glenn Young leads several programs that provide research, teaching and extension to connect food producers with universities. The overall goal of these activities is to form partnerships that solve real-world problems faced by people involved in food production. Professor Young is utilizing an approach called Participatory Action Research, which focuses on inducing local people as part of the research and development team with the university. The local people have a key role in identifying new innovative technologies that are target specifically to the needs of farmers, collectors, food processors and food sellers. Professor Young will discuss case studies from Cambodia, Vietnam and the Philippines.
