Chih-Chiang Chen received the B.S. degree in electrical engineering from National Yunlin University of Science and Technology, Douliou, Taiwan, in 2009, and his M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Institute of Electrical and Control Engineering from National Chiao Tung University, Hsinchu, Taiwan, in 2011 and 2017, respectively. From October 2015 to August 2016, he was a visiting Ph.D. student at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering, The University of Texas at San Antonio, San Antonio, Texas, USA, under the supervision of Prof. Chunjiang Qian. He is currently an Assistant Professor of Systems and Naval Mechatronic Engineering with National Cheng Kung University, Tainan 70101, Taiwan. His research interests include nonlinear control, intelligent systems, evolutionary computing algorithm.
Dr. Chen has received several fellowship/scholarship including Tung Thih Electronic fellowship (2013 and 2014), National Chiao Tung University short term research scholarship (2015), CTCI Science and Technology research scholarship (2015), Valero Foreign Visiting Ph.D. Student Awards of The University of Texas at San Antonio (2015), and National Defense Industrial Development Foundation scholarship (2016). He currently serves as a reviewer for several international journals including Automatica, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Informatics, IEEE Transactions on Cybernetics, IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, International Journal of Robust and Nonlinear Control, Journal of The Franklin Institute, and International Journal of Fuzzy Systems.
