Professor Tsuneo Imamoto received his Ph.D. degree from Osaka University in 1972. He was a post-doc at Tokyo Institute of Technology in 1972-1973. He joined Graduate School of Science, Chiba University as an assistant Professor in 1980. He was promoted to associate Professor in 1987 and a full professor in 1993. From 2008, he was an Emeritus Professor and Grand Fellow in Chiba University, and as a Research Consultant in Nippon Chemical Industrial Co., Ltd. Organic R&D Division. His research interests cover Organic Synthesis, Asymmetric Catalysis, Reaction Mechanism, Organometallic Chemistry, Organophosphorus Chemistry, Lanthanide Chemistry, Process Chemistry.
